Whether it’s working in a Malaysian logging camp, researching the biomechanics of hummingbird flight, or building new technologies, I adapt to new challenges, identify compelling problems, and create unconventional solutions.
I’m happiest when I’m creating something. My design process not only creates transformative apps, it also lets teams discover what’s actually important to them. Whatever I’m building, I bring an understanding for storytelling and style that I’ve honed as a writer and visual artist.
Current Projects
Integration Technologies
As a Product Manager at Salesforce, I’ve worked on integration technologies like the Event Bus and Heroku Connect. These products sync and stream billions of rows of data across the globe. Our technology helps customers build connected experiences and lets internal teams deliver new Salesforce products, like Platform Events, Event Monitoring, and Einstein Activity Capture.
Design for Sustainability
I co-wrote the Design for Sustainability Trail as part of Salesforce Design’s education curriculum. Our goal for the content is to help designers incorporate sustainability into the products, services, and processes that they create. Our next step is to enhance the content with best practices for product managers and engineers interested in building low-carbon digital products.
Covid-19 Response
At the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Innovative Genomics Institute at UC Berkeley converted their high-throughput genomics facility to a Covid-19 testing lab with the help of Salesforce and other companies. I led Salesforce’s response to support IGI and built a physician’s portal that allowed local healthcare providers to order tests and see results.
